Steps commonly used for self-hypnosiS

Self-hypnosis usually requires four distinct steps.

  1. Motivation. Without proper motivation, you or anybody else for that matter will find it very difficult to practice self-hypnosis
  2. Relaxation: You must be thoroughly relaxed and you must also set aside time to perform this act. Additionally, all distractions should be eliminated as full attention is needed.
  3. Concentration: You will need to concentrate completely on the task at hand as progress is made each time the mind focuses on a single image.
  4. Directing: This is an option used only when you want to work on a specific goal that you have in mind. You must direct your concentration on visualizing the desired result that you’re aiming for.
